1The Psalmist having exhorted the judges, 5and reproved their misconduct, 8prayeth God to judge.

82 0 A Psalm 1of Asaph.

1 GOD astandeth in the bcongregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

2 How long will ye cjudge unjustly, and accept the persons dof the wicked? Selah.

3 2Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

4 eDeliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

5 They fknow not, neither will they understand; gthey walk on in darkness: hall the foundations of the earth are 3out of course.

6 I ihave said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

7 But jye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

8 kArise, O God, judge the earth: for lthou shalt inherit all nations.
