1David's joy in the people's resort to Jerusalem, 3the seat of religion and public justice: 6he prayeth for its peace and prosperity.

122 0 aA Song of degrees of David.

1 I WAS bglad when they said unto me, cLet us go into the house of the LORD.

2 dOur feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

3 eJerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:

4 f*Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the gtestimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.

5 For there 1are set hthrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

6 iPray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

7 jPeace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

8 kFor my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, lPeace be within thee.

9 Because mof the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
