Psalms 11
Psalms
1David encourageth himself in God against his enemies. 4The providence and justice of God.
11 0 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
1 IN the aLORD put I my trust: bhow say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
2 For, lo, cthe wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may 1*privily shoot at the upright in heart.
3 If the dfoundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
4 The eLORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: fhis eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
5 The gLORD trieth the righteous: hbut the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
6 iUpon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and *brimstone, and 2an horrible tempest: this shall be the jportion of their cup.
7 For kthe righteous LORD loveth righteousness; lhis countenance doth behold the upright.
